Imagine that you discover a way to do what you love and love what you do for work. Now, imagine that all of your dreams come true with regard to your career; starting up, finding success, expanding, finding even more success... Sounds like a dream doesn't it? The "American Dream" has always been to follow your passion and find success, but nobody ever tells you what happens when you wake up. What next? Emily Mitchell has owned her own skincare facility since 2011 and she's been working in the aesthetic industry for nearly twenty years. She's gone from being the student to the teacher, in more ways than one; having a team of six spa professionals requires constant troubleshooting and learning curves. As a result, the time has come for her to slow down from performing the treatments and devote more energy and time to her team members and her facility. We pride ourselves in "quality over quantity" at Emily's Skincare & Spa and because this is such an important part of our ethos it has become essential for Emily to spend more time working one-on-one with our team members to help them build their aesthetic skills and in turn, continue to build the business. We know exactly what you're thinking right about now... 'why can't Emily continue to offer treatments herself though?' - Emily is being called to teach her craft to those who want to learn from some of the very best. She believes that with the proper instruction, any aesthitician with the desire can become the best aesthetician. Unfortunately so many schools and facilities lack real life experience as a prerequisite and as a result, new aestheticians have to make a few big mistakes - sometimes costly mistakes - before they find their groove.
Good facial, bad hair! bad facial, good hair! - Emily Mitchell
There's something wonderful about being able to trust your esthetician to do what your skin needs with the budget you've set; this particular skill is an art and Emily intends to teach this to her team members as well as others. Have you ever rushed through something and felt as if you failed to absorb all there was to take in? Without Emily being available to work on-on-one with her team members throughout the day, valuable lessons and tricks of the trade are slipping between the cracks and going unnoticed. Between short videos, social media, blogging and private training sessions Emily plans to educate not only her own staff but others out in the industry as well.
Let's break the mold - you don't have to go with the same aesthetician each time. When you choose to go with someone rather than no one, you are still supporting our small business. - Emily Mitchell
We know many of you have been with Emily since the very beginning; before the larger facility and the additional staff members. It's important to remember that this facility is Emily's metaphorical "baby." She takes great pride in her staff members as well as the treatments we offer and the products we supply. Don't miss out on your favorite treatments simply because you aren't able to get in to see Emily; would you stop going to your favorite restaurant because you knew you might not get the same waiter each time you go? Bottom line - we are a small business that contributes to our downtown atmosphere and community. Emily has some BIG plans for continuing to improve our facility. We couldn't do what we do without YOU! We appreciate our clients and our main priority is to provide the best experience possible. Emily may not frequent the treatment room as often as she used to, but she's still working hard for the team and our clients!
